My Favorite Sports Moment

 My favorite sports moment of all time was when the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals to win 4-3. I was a huge LeBron James fan at the time. The first game of basketball I ever watched was in the 2012 NBA Finals, in which LeBron dominated and won his first ever championship. Since that day I have always been a fan of LeBron James, and whatever team he played on. As context to the 2016 championship win, LeBron James and the Cavaliers lost in 2015 to the Golden State Warriors in a series where 2 out of the 3 best Cavaliers players were injured throughout the series. In the 2016 regular season the Golden State Warriors had the best regular season of all time, winning 73 out of 82 games. Also, in the 2016 Western Conference Finals the Golden State Warriors came back from 3-1 in a series to win 4-3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Finally, in the NBA Finals, no time has to ever came back from down 3-1 to win the championship. I, as a blind LeBron fan, in 2016 would never admit LeBron could do wrong and still believed that the Cavaliers could do the impossible and come back to win even down 3-1, while nobody believed me. Since I lived in the Bay Area at this time, almost all my friends were Warriors fans and they were joking around with me how the Warriors won, what excuse am I gonna make this time compared to last year, etc. As the Cavaliers won game 5 and even 6, I was still getting the same jokes, but I could tell that my friends were getting more apprehensive and nervous as the Cavaliers were beginning to win. All this led to game 7, in Oakland, for the championship. The game was low scoring with a final score of only 93-89, but each possession had me at the edge of my seat. When the game was reaching its end with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter and the score was 89-89 LeBron James had one of the craziest and best blocks in NBA history. The nervousness, joy, and excitement I felt were next to nothing I have ever felt when watching sports. With around 1 minute left in the game, a couple possessions after the block, Kyrie Irving, the second best player on the Cavaliers hit a three to put the Cavaliers up 3 and once LeBron James made a free throw. The Cavaliers did the impossible and won the NBA Championship when down 3-1. This was the most fun, enjoyable sports series I have ever watched in my life and the LeBron James block was my favorite sports moment ever.
